SALIDO had the opportunity to attend The National Restaurant Association Show for the first time. We were honored to be selected as one out of 14 emerging companies to showcase our product as part of Startup Alley. Overall, the show was a bustling amalgamation of the ever-growing sectors of the restaurant industry. Here are some of the booth experiences that we loved!

1. Chobani.

This booth served the freshest and best quality ingredients at the show. Throughout each day they featured several creative and delicious recipes that show the diversity of Greek yogurt as an ingredient. We loved the Beets and Popped Quinoa, Banana Bread Muffins, as well as the Watermelon and Feta with pita chips.

2. Suzumo sushi maker.

This might have been our favorite booth as it showcased an automatic sushi maker (worth 21k), sushi roll cutter (worth 6k), sushi burrito maker, poke’n cut saran wrap, and Japanese mayo. They served delicious California and spicy salmon rolls that had us coming back for more everyday! Check out this video of how the sushi roller works!

3. Duck trapdriver

Part of the Fortune Fish and Gourmet seafood specialists booth, Duck Trapriver had, hands down, the best smoked seafood at the show. If you are looking for a top smoked salmon provider, check out their product at Whole Foods!

4. Sir Kensington's.

By far the best booth design at the show, Sir Kensington’s generous french fry samples and cute ketchup holder created a fun and memorable experience!

5. Beavertails.

Words cannot describe how delicious these pastries are. These little (not-so-little) “beavertail” shaped fried pieces of dough were the most decadent samples at the show. Crunchy yet soft and sweet… we are still dreaming about it! We especially loved the cinnamon sugar and chocolate hazelnut toppings.

Thank you to the National Restaurant Association for having us, we truly enjoyed our experience at the show! We can’t wait to return next year, especially to showcase SALIDO’s newest offerings.
